EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI) Video Competition

EDUCAUSE is a great organization for higher ed professionals interested in the ways in which we can use technology to enliven and enrich teaching and learning.  The EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative is a sub-group focused on innovative uses of eLearning technologies.  They have just announced a rather interesting video competition tied to their 2014 Horizon Report (scheduled for release on February 3, 2014) that might be of interest to some members of the Niagara College community.  Here is their announcement:

Greetings!
New this year at the Annual Meeting is the ELI Horizon Report Video Competition! We are asking for participants to submit a short (1-2 minute) video addressing one of the six Horizon Report technologies for 2014 by January 21.

  *   Flipped Classroom

  *   3D Printing
  *   Games and Gamification
  *   Quantified Self
  *   Virtual Assistants

All submissions meeting the criteria will be posted to the ELI 2014 contest page which will go live January 28. ELI will ask the community to vote for their top video choices from January 28 through February 4, 5:00 p.m. (ET).  Winners will be announced at the ELI Annual Meeting’s closing general session.
